This mirrors my own experience with Windows. Jumped ship to Linux about 2 years ago now and havn't looked back. It's very nice having an OS that does not seem to actively fight or obstruct me when I want to do something.
HTPC stuff in my house have been given over to some cheap ONN 4K Plus devices I caught on sale for $20 a piece. They make streaming from my Linux based server a non issue and the big bonus is I can use "Patched" apps to remove adverts and other nonsense from Youtube and other similar apps.
Some of the stuff is not very interesting or new, but....
-An LG 32" OLED 4K/HDR/WCG 240Hz/480Hz dual-mode monitor (32GX870A-B). Awesome for gaming.
-A secondary LG 32UD99-W - Also 32" 4K HDR but a 60Hz IPS panel
-A rotating collection of self-built custom mechanical keyboards--currently a Haverworks Theseus75 with HMX Cosmic Purple switches and MTNU 800 keycaps. I need to write about my colllection.
-Mouse is a Logitech MX Master.
-The sit-stand desk is an IKEA thing. It's... fine, I guess.
-The bookshelf speakers are custom, built by a friend. Paired with an old Onkyo receiver that's too large but makes a good monitor stand.
-Herman Miller Mirra. Getting old but aging well. Worth every penny.
-The mic is a Monoprice USB thing I used to use for podcasting. Still decent. Also have a cheap-ish webcam for face authentication.
-Sony A6400 with a USB HDMI adapter. We do take it off and go shoot with it sometimes.
-The PC is the least interesting of all: an old i7-11700K + RTX 3080. Just stuff I had leftover around the lab.
In 25 years we've gone from Windows Me to Windows Meh.
